Initiative Three: Trainings and Mentorship

Primary Focus Areas: Education, Development, and Opportunity

T&M aims to build employable skill sets within our enrolled participants. Trainees who are accepted in our Assessment Training, move on to “Support Team” Training. Participants go through a year of training and a certification process to begin the steps in becoming employed “Lead Team”. Trainees learn the hands on technical skill sets required to safely lead and teach our student classes. Trainees also develop the opportunity to hone and define their leadership style with emphasis on becoming a professional outdoor educator and/or guide. Upon completion of the training, the participant will be offered employment with our program, one of our partners, or will be helped to obtain employment outside the program.
